Connected to the mainland from the town of Orbetello and the two sand bars known as Giannella and Feniglia, Monte Argentario is a renowned tourist resort surrounded by the blue waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea, with coves often only reachable by boat or on foot. The best known and most popular spots are Porto Santo Stefano, from where ferries depart to the islands of Giannutri and Giglio, and Porto Ercole, smaller and more glamorous with its historic village and its exclusive port where tourist boats depart for excursions to the most beautiful beaches.
