Talamone

Talamone can be found mentioned in school books across Italy as it was the place where Giuseppe Garibaldi and his band of volunteers, known as “the Thousand”, stopped to get supplies of weapons and food. The rocky promontory of Talamone dominates the stretch of coastline from the edge of Maremma Park to Monte Argentario. Just a twenty-minute drive on the E80 road, it is a popular tourist and holiday destination due to its crystal clear waters and its old town.
